Dr. Steven Simmons
Dr. Simmons hails from a quaint town in Michigan and is happily married to Vanessa, with whom he shares four children. A 1999 graduate of Palmer College in Davenport, he was humorously voted by his peers as “Most likely to build a shrine to ‘BJ’”—a nod to BJ Palmer, an early chiropractic pioneer. True to the prediction, Dr. Simmons has amassed an impressive collection of chiropractic memorabilia, including over four sets of the original green books and several early portable adjusting tables, as well as a knee chest table from the early 1900s.
Upon graduating in 2000, Dr. Simmons and his wife founded Simmons Specific Chiropractic in Midland, Michigan. He has been an active member of the Michigan Association of Chiropractors (MAC) since August 1997, serving on the board since January 2012. In addition, he represents Palmer College as a State Representative for its Alumni Association and has held the position of Vice Chair for the Ethics and Professional Conduct Peer Review Committee for the MAC since January 2013.
Dr. Simmons is a dedicated member of his local and professional communities, actively participating in numerous committees and supporting state-wide chiropractic conventions. His commitment extends to national advocacy, having participated in initiatives like the Light for Patient’s Rights on Washington Hill to promote healthcare rights.
A fervent believer in the benefits of chiropractic care, Dr. Simmons views his patients as part of his extended chiropractic family, dedicating himself to providing the highest level of care. He is particularly proud of his post-doctorate training in Knee Chest Upper Cervical Technique, a specialty he enthusiastically offers to his patients for optimal health outcomes.
