Dr. Nikolai Young
Nikolai A. Young, DC, LCP (Hon.)
Dr. Young hails from Portland and is a second-generation doctor, with his father being a medical radiologist. This familial influence sparked his early interest in healthcare, though he was initially uncertain about his specific path within the field. The turning point came during a high school conference where a chiropractor’s presentation on the philosophy and scope of chiropractic care captured his imagination and set him on a definitive course to become a chiropractor himself.
He earned his Bachelor of Science in exercise science from Life University in Atlanta, Georgia, and later graduated from Life Chiropractic College West in Hayward, California. During his chiropractic studies, Dr. Young focused on mastering specialized techniques including the Blair technique, which concentrates on subluxations from the first to the fifth cervical vertebrae, and the Gonstead technique, which deals with issues throughout the entire spine and pelvis. A committed member of the Delta Sigma Chi Professional Fraternity, a notable group with ties to many technique developers, Dr. Young served on its executive board at the chapter level multiple terms. His chiropractic training culminated in a preceptorship at Sonoma County’s premier pediatric and prenatal chiropractic office.
