Meet Dr. Marlon Altan
Dr. Marlon Altan graduated magna cum laude from Life Chiropractic College West in 2023, earning both academic distinction and bronze medal clinic honors. He brought this momentum to Montecito Chiropractic in April 2024, where he continues to pursue his passion for healing and service.
Dr. Altan’s journey into chiropractic began in 2000, when his mother was involved in a serious car accident that left her in severe pain and with a limited range of motion in her neck. Conventional medical care offered little relief, suggesting long-term medication, a neck brace, and possible surgery. In what he describes as a moment of divine grace, a newly acquainted chiropractor friend of the family offered care that transformed his mother’s condition. Within six weeks, she regained her neck mobility and experienced significant pain relief. After eight weeks, she returned to work. Dr. Altan also witnessed the profound comfort chiropractic care brought to his father during his final months battling terminal cancer.
With a long-standing desire to serve others, Dr. Altan earned a Bachelor of Arts in Spanish and Political Science and dedicated over 15 years to a career in education. In 2020, following deep personal reflection, he made the decision to return to school and begin his path toward becoming a chiropractor.
While in chiropractic school, Dr. Altan developed a strong interest in Upper Cervical chiropractic. He was drawn to the precision of the technique and the powerful outcomes it yields. He remains inspired by the body’s innate ability to self-correct once the C1 Atlas subluxation is addressed. Grateful for the opportunity to serve in this capacity, Dr. Altan is committed to continually refining his skills and helping others experience the profound benefits of Upper Cervical chiropractic care.
