Dr. Culig founded Pierce Upper Cervical to honor the legacy of his late grandfather, Dr. Walter V. Pierce, a distinguished chiropractor and innovator who dedicated over 30 years to advancing the chiropractic profession. Dr. Culig carries forward his grandfather’s passion for innovation and excellence in chiropractic care, focusing specifically on the cranio-cervical junction (upper cervical spine).
With a deep commitment to mastering this specialized field, Dr. Culig completed an intensive three-year postgraduate program, achieving the highest level of training available for the upper cervical spine. He is proud to be the only doctor in the Atlanta Metro area fully certified as a Diplomate in Cranio-Cervical Junction Procedures (DCCJP), reflecting his unparalleled expertise in this critical area of chiropractic care.
Dr. Culig has extensively studied advanced Upper Cervical Chiropractic techniques, including NUCCA, Blair Chiropractic Technique, Atlas Orthogonal, and the Pierce Results System. He was also one of the first chiropractors to integrate 3D CBCT imaging into practice, revolutionizing diagnostic precision and patient outcomes. His expertise in this cutting-edge technology has made him a sought-after educator, training chiropractors across the country on its effective use.
A significant portion of Dr. Culig’s practice is devoted to treating patients with migraines and trigeminal neuralgia, conditions that can dramatically affect quality of life. Through precise Upper Cervical corrections, he has successfully helped hundreds of patients find relief and regain their well-being.

When he’s not advancing the field of Upper Cervical Chiropractic, Dr. Culig enjoys scuba diving, playing basketball, and pursuing continuing education. Most importantly, he treasures spending quality time with his family, balancing his professional dedication with a fulfilling personal life.
